Legends has been unashamedly doing what it does since 1992. It is a fab seaside seafront top pick LGBTQ+ friendly hotel with super staff, an all day bar, top drag acts and singers, an iconic sea view terrace and busy late night weekend Basement Club. With 40 rooms in a building dating back over 150 years, they range from dinky, bijou and cosy to large sea view doubles and a sea view junior-suite all well kept given the non-stop wear. Yummy English breakfast, eggs Benedict and things smashed, like avocado until 11am, and snacks, burgers and triple club sandwiches in the bar until late afternoon. Perfect for a wild messy lively big pink away gay seaside break!
WE SAY: GAY OK. Joyously raucous at times, especially at weekends and in summer. Ideal for those who love late nights and late breakfasts with an afternoon stroll along the pier to enjoy fish & chips and wash away the night before with a huge ice cream. Rooms are great value weekdays. Expect to pay more at weekends even for the compact rooms. Good for solo travelers and groups of friends on a weekender. The Basement Club is a bit of a legend, and the show bar guarantees you a front row to see the very best of local and UK drag legends! Drink promos like 2 for £8 on Gin, Vodka and Rum with mix.
