Superb elegant seafront rooms many with sea views, the 4-star Mercure Brighton is the perfect place for a Sussex break by the sea. The Grade II listed hotel is a grand Victorian landmark since 1865 with lots of period features, including original mirrors, chandeliers and an amazing lobby staircase. The Mercure has 117 rooms, double, twin and family. Choose from classic or privilege sea view, and sea view balcony rooms or Privilege Mews rooms.
WE SAY: A good breakfast at the Mercure starts your day after a great sleep in one of the smart guest rooms. We recommend you go for a Privilege sea view to ensure a tip top seaside break. The lounge is stunning and still retains much of the Victorian splendour, the perfect place to indulge in Afternoon Tea with fresh cakes, scones and finger sandwiches, yummy! The Mercure is great for a blustery stroll along Hove Lawns located opposite.
PARKING: Limited (38) spaces (£) first come first served. Public car parks (£) are available near the hotel.
PRICES: Classic inland doubles from £127 including breakfast. Privilege double with sea view and balcony from £207 with breakfast @ booking.com for offers, verified review and photos.
NOTE: Not all Privilege rooms are sea view, make sure you pick a room that states "sea view" if you want one. The hotel is Grade II listed and over 150 years old therefore some original features like sash windows may show some wear as expected in a Victorian building.
Across the road from the beach and Hove Lawns, the Mercure is ideal for a classic mini-break by the sea
